Do think it would be safe to haul a heifer 45 min. one way, AI her in the trailer and bring her home? Could or would that effect conception?

She is standing this am, should I haul her over to the AI person this evening.

The haul shouldn't have anything to do with her conception. The time to be careful about stress starts at about day nine since last heat or a few days before she comes in as adrenalin binds to the same receptor as lutenizing hormone.
 
haul her that day , or wait several days after the AI day is what i have heard, not sure how many if you wait, we hauled recips , ET that day , with no problems.
 
I imagine it's luck and chance sort of. I once rode my mare 1/4 mile to my neighbors unsaddled her ,got her serviced saddled back up and rode her home.

Then loaded her up in the trailer for a 3 day pack trip in the Olympic Nat'l Park.

11 months later she foaled.
