i have 3 heifers that will need breeding in dec i have leased my bull out for the winter i have been thinking of ai them but have never tried before whats the chances of getting them all to stick the first time. also what is the associated coast of ai if i have good luck thought about ai some register cows i have thanks in advance

Who's breeding them? Yourself? Either way the chances of getting all 3 to take are low, atleast with one breeding - but extra low if you've never done it.

i would get someone to do it cause i have no ideal whats going on with AI

I had 4 bred by a tech last year and only 1 take the first time. I had the 3 bred again and all took the 2nd time.
I was watching for standing heat and used no synchronization.

I was goin try an synchronization figured that would be easier than watching for standing heat

If you sync them and still breed on observed heat you should do well, TAi maybe a little less percentage, it's still mother nature. With observed heat use a patch on them it will only take 5 min in the morning and 5 in the evening over 2 days.
Cost should be between 60 and 80 dollars including semen.
