Just thought Id see what your experience has been on this. I have 2-3 heiffers w/ first calf on the ground now. They have been ridden once. Guessing one a tick over a week ago, and the other sometime this week. Going to put in Cidr's apx. June 7? Since they have been ridden naturally, would they be good canadates for AI? Im kinda thinking it would be not enough time elapsed since last standing heat for these to come back in by then?
I had super great calves out of them this year, and had planned on mating them the same this year. Although if I could AI them and it would stick that would be super sweet! :D On the flip side the first time I tried AI ing I used this same age group of cattle and it blew like an asmatic hooker. I really don't need to go through that mess again. But if these have cycled....it should work? :?
