17 goin on 27 or 37 depends who ya ask..... think I lost childhood in the past 2 years with what all has gone on, let it slip right by and grew up and matured too fast in the chaos...

Soon to be 49--- some days feel like 89----- other days
act like 13----- used to be able to stay up all night---
PARTY------ grab a calf, pick it up and carry it, no matter
it weighed 80 lbs----- rake hay in the boiling heat all day,
no problem--- NOW  --- need 8 hours sleep----
have to drag the calves ( or yell for help) ----the heat is
killing me---- plus the internal heat from menapause is uncool:x
things are sagging, falling off, and just plain dont work---
BUT::::::::::::::: it is sure good to be alive!!!! ;-)

Dang. Could you be more expletive? :D

:lol2: well, I was thinking about getting some of those
"minature" cattle so I wont have to work so hard! ( not really!)
But seriously, I have had rotator cuff repair on both shoulders,
some days it feels like they are held together with binder twine
and rusty screws. As for the other stuff:::::

29... how many times can you celebrate that birthday?

We split the mark between the 30-40 and 40-50 group (so I of course checked the box for the 30-40 ;-) )

I'm 21, going on 60. :D

Youngest of a five siblings and the only one looking to take over the farm. Always rough to hear of older producers that either don't have kids or don't have any that are interested in taking over the farm. Hopefully they have some sort of plan on transition. Many want to work till they die (I'm the same way), but don't have an exit plan. If they never want to sell, hopefully the will leave it in their will to a long-time helpful neighbour or maybe even a young couple that wants to start farming. Better than everyone else ripping a person's lifetime of labour into pieces.
