I am trying to learn about the african horn gene, Is there for example a gene test available somewhere?
Or some website I should look for.
Or tell me your own experiences with this gene, purebred, or in the process of making superbaldies or tigerstripes.

Good luck! Everything I've found that alluded to it basicly says "it appears sometimes in some bos indicus cattle". It's always an aside, "Oh yeah, there is another set of genes besides horned and polled".

Read page 4.

Thank you. There appears to be no gene test yet but there seems to be some knowledge in the subject.
Without the african horn gene it works like this: homozygous polled and heterozygous means no horns and homozygous horned means horns. With the african horn gene it goes like this; otherwise polled cattle will be horned if: they are bulls and homozygous or heterozygous, or if they are females they are homozygous.
If one read it four times in ones own laguage it will make sense!
