Advice on joint infection

I have a 6 week old calf that momma stepped on and lacerated his upper leg(deep) and chipped the bone off at about 3 weeks. He's had Drax 4x, Nolvason, Bose, La200, over the last 3 weeks. Wound drained and healed up nice, the swelling is gone except for the joint. The shoulder joint is stiff, enlarged and visible signs of pain if poked. Goes back to vet Weds 5-14. Curious if anyone has dealt with the joint infection and what are long term results? Called vet and asked for some pen etc.. don't want to wait till weds.

I'd talk to your vet about Dex. I had a calf with a snake bite on his knee and the treatment was Nuflor & Dex day 1, Dex day 2 & 3, Nuflor & Dex day 4, Dex day 5 & 6, Draxxin day 7. Full recovery.
