Acceptable rates of gain?

What do you consider an acceptable daily gain on young bulls? These would be going from 600 to 800 pounds and have been getting about 2% body weight of 12% beef grower and grass hay.

2-2.5#, 600-900 pound range, they aren't as good at converting feed at that point in their life, trying to grow frame and not muscle. 900+ well over 3#.

Agree, they are still growing frame, but I would be happy in certain conditions with 2#
