I went to a farm auction on Saturday. There was a 1950's Allis Chalmers 27hp (?) Model B (?) tractor in decent running shape on the block. No one bid and when it got down to $500 I bought it. I drove it 10 miles home without incident. It's newly painted a pretty orange though.

I already have a 56hp work tractor and didn't need it. However, it seemed a shame to pass up for what I thought was a cheap price.

Do people restore and collect these things? I would like to put some elbow grease and a few bucks into it just for the fun of it.
Anyone have any links or information on them?

thanks

Jon

Thanks again for the link, I too like to buy as low as possible. It was kinda calling out to me and I got carried away.

For me Farm Auctions are more addictive than Casinos. I always enjoy myself a lot more at an auction than the rare times I go to a Casino.

Have a great day !!

Jon
