:D Anyone going to the hereford sale here in Indiana at Able Acres this saturday? They have the usual
very nice show heifers. We will be looking to purchase one. :heart:
 
i know theyve had a top hereford herd for years.an that theyve put alot into their breeding program.
 
I'm can't go but would really like to. The heifers in the catalog look awesome. I'm in IL for the holidays, and we might go the Stephen's and Loehr hereford farm's sale that day and I don't think we'd be up for the extra trip to IN and then have to come back. Let me know if you get a heifer and how the others looked.
 
Well how'd it go? I ended up not going to either. Saturday morning I got some version of the stomach flu (which the rest of my family is now enjoying) and stayed home. That makes it a long time since I've been to cattle sale/show. That means I'll definitely have to be at the HBC and then make it back in time to watch the Hereford Reno sale on LiveAuctions.
 
:D In my estimation, it was a very good sale. It was good to see interest in the hereford breed.
There were buyers from all over the country. The heifer I wanted brought $7500 ( Legrand Reload)
The high selling heifer brought $10,000 ( Chill factor) The others were between $2000 and 5,000. We
bought a $2000 heifer ( Keyline) Had a good time! :heart:
