I heeled too. I have a saddle out in the garage that I won in 1990. I only rode it once. Too small of a seat it is uncomfortable for me to ride. Some of the worse roping of my life the day I won the saddle. A 3 steer jackpot. I won first and second because I was in the only 2 teams to rope all three. I have a friend who won the all around at the Calgary Stampede. I told him that I was embarrassed to win the saddle. He told me don't be embarrassed, you were better than everyone else that day. I was 52 on 3 and 61 on three. I have sure roped better but I remember those awful times. I haven't been in the saddle for over 10 years now.
This picture is of me on a bareback bronc fourth of July 1974. I placed 3rd or 4th that day. I lost most of my rodeo pictures in a house fire in 1984. This is one of the few that happened to be at my parents house.

My sister used it for a model and embroidered it on the back of a shirt for me. That was the reason it wasn't at the house when the fire happened. That's a nice image. It could make a painting with some imagination.

Thanks. I can never get a picture of a picture to come out right.
Wow, nice work.
Thanks... It's a good image. You are the subject and I can't ask the horse, but I like to ask.Sure it is not copy righted or anything. Long since lost track of my old traveling partners former girl friend who took the picture. I wish I knew where she ended up.
The horse was named Boomerang Barney. I am sure he has passed away by now. And he was a gelding so no descendant to claim photo rights.Thanks... It's a good image. You are the subject and I can't ask the horse, but I like to ask.
