A buddy of mine said when his uncle was in the army he had to go through parachute training. He asked him if he ever parachuted. His uncle said " Yes! Five times. They threw me out four times and I fell out once fighting them!"

I guess now adays you need to jump tandem. 35 years ago it was $65 (life time membership to the Palouse Parachute Club) three hours of class and boom, Static line solo.
