Stormy my bottle calf and her 2010 steer. She is a first calver and a balancer cow GV/red Angus. I probably should have knocked her on the head when she was born and her dam refused to care for her as you can see she is a pathetic mother. ;-)

A 2010 bull calf I really like.

Another of Kayla's daughters (4yr old) and her 2010 bull calf, BTW the creep is not being used and is empty. What a difference from last year, now I have more pasture than they can keep up with.

Wow HD. Nice pics. That Ideal Direction heifer will fit very nicely at my place. I saw him this spring and you should know that is going to be a big girl. I am impressed with her mother also.

I only bred one cow to Ideal Direction this year and still have a ton of semen. I bet I use him more next year.

Max is growing up to be a real good lookin bull. Nice job on that one.

3way after seeing her develop, I used him alot this spring, more on cows that were very moderate framed so it will be interesting to see what we get next year.

Lisa is an SLC cow ,the breeders of Freedom . She is massive ,but she also raises a heck of a calf .

I can't wait to see the few calves from Max, especially from the heifers. There should be some really nice stock next year. :D

Looking great there HD. Great to see some green grass up there.

I think Stormys calf is a bit small, she could do better. (Duck) Just kidding, :D :D that calf looks awesome and I bet your sure proud of them both.

Nice bull! Love the hindquarter on him in that one photo. Your girls look good, too. Glad you are having such a good season, I remember how grim it was for you last year.

Wow!! Your country looks unrecognizable compared to some of the photos you posted a few months back. You must be loving looking at all that great grass with great cattle grazing it. Maximus looks better and better everytime you post a new pic.

Andrew, it is a huge change from last year. We averaged 7 bales an acre this year compared to 1 bale to 3 acres last year. However we cut 3 weeks later than we like because it rained everyday.

you have a fine set of cows an heifers there HD.your bull has grown off very well.an you have a good eye.that young bull calf will most likely be a keeper.

I like the bull who is sired by? Unless i've been looking in the wrong places I have yet to see a black gelbvieh as thick and muscular as the reds.

Thanks Ala and BB. :)
Gertman he is sired by Kalina Moderator, I still am in amazement that he was a twin and his dam raised them both on her own. His scrotal at 15 months was 40 cm's and my bulls are not grain pushed at all, in fact they were rationed hard just like the rest of the herd was. The young bull calf that I like this year his dam is sired by the same AI bull.

You should have been at John Oswalds with me this morning you would have seen 4 or 5 blk bull calves that would knock your socks off.

to be fair tho the best calf on the place to me anyway is a red 3/4 GV calf.
