A couple more weeds to ID

I'd be grateful if someone could help me ID these two central Texas weeds. Amine 400 @ .5% takes both of them out.

I probably have a thousand of these growing on my property. The tallest one in this picture is about 18" high. They get up to your waist. They're pretty fragile; just cutting them with the shredder will usually kill them.

These are scattered all over. They grow in clumps about a foot high. Here's a large cluster about 2 feet wide:

And two smaller clusters about a foot high. Seed tops haven't developed yet:

I've used that site a couple of times, but it's not too helpful (couldn't find either of these). It takes forever to go through it, and half the image links get Page Not Found errors.

The top one looks like milkweed. Could be dogbane, but I'm pretty sure it's milkweed.

I totally agree! Aggies...........;) I just didn't want to discourage you from trying. I think there is a more current one but I couldn't find the link....

The top one looks like milkweed. Could be dogbane, but I'm pretty sure it's milkweed.

Nope. Milkweed and dogbane have more elongated, pointed leaves. These leaves are rounder, and look thick and soft. They have a smooth, very dull surface. Also, 2, 4-d usually won't kill milkweed, but it definitely kills this plant.

there is a few variations on the dogbane
I had some that looked almost identical to the first pic
I have a neighbor who is a horticulturist and I took it to him and he told me what species of Dogbane it was but I can't remember the exact name
