5075 fuel problem.

Rain on a freshly baled hay field is very nice bonus for your troubles. As far as the fishing goes you should never need an excuse to go.

I could be mistaken but it seems in all my reading on this system I read a post about someone doing just that. It sure seems it would be better than gravity and suction from the injection pump. Especially under load with a low fuel tank.

The JD parts link I posted up above shows a fuel lift pump on a 5075E. Does your tractor have that fuel pump? Item 2 in the link below. Seems strange that the original design would have both a fuel lift pump before the filter/separator as well as a manual primer.

If you don't have a lift pump, it is pretty easy to add one inline. Power it from the fuel solenoid on the injector pump.

No . Some have it some don't. I think it depends on the country it was made in. Not sure. This definitely doesn't have it. My john deere skid steer has a similar system and a very small inline pump. You don't have to pump a primer after filter change. Just turn it on and wait about 60 seconds it self primes.

we have a couple of older tractors that seem to come up withfuel issues and we installed a small electric fuel pump on there that came from oreilly's and it solved the issue for us
 
not sure what style they are, Oreilly's just has a couple dofferent ones hanging on the wall, only one says diesel so that's what we use. They're pretty cheap and seem to last 2 or 3 years, cost about 60 or 70 bucks if I remember right. They make priming super easy as well
