Regarding the udders - guess we better clarify just what "coke bottle teats" look like. :lol: If this is what you all would call "coke bottle teats", then I'd completely agree with you.

MM - that cow is what a coke bottle teat cow starts off looking like IMO. From what I've seen every year the "ballooned" out portion at the top will come lower and lower down until the whole teat is so big you can't even put your hand around it. It looks like it's streched out to me.

If she is about to freshen or has freshhened within a couple of hours, it's not unusual for the teats to be swelled. As soon as the calf has a good suck they may go down to normal. If she's been fresh a couple of days, get the calves out of her you can cause it will only get worse. The problem is it may be her next calf or 5 calves from now. If possible I'ld look at her dam and her sires other daughters. It helps to figure out where the trait is coming from.
