im puttin the blame on the calf, or any of them. its just the little things that i find everyday thats adding up and gettin to my head. i really wish that i could get away from them awhile but thats literally impossible. i also have a bucket calf thats grown up and he's the biggest baby. he always makes me forget about whats goin on when he covers me in slobber with his kisses and how he nudges me to get me to brush him.i think the biggest stress factor for me is that im 15 and tryin to take care of all 50 head of the dumb things all by myself. and then i have so many other responsiblities that most teens dont even think about. and then my mom wonder whats wrong with me,hhmmm i wonder... :roll:

on a lighter note...it hasnt rained here in 3 days WOOOHHHOOO :D *doin the happy dance*

Oh my bad ,sorry I didn't realize you are just 15. I'll be 50 here shortly and I still have days like you. I agree with Frankie. Sell the ones that are causing a problem. It's not worth getting yourself all worked up over.

This reminds me of my last Thursday, a week ago, got back from town and total chaos erupted, chased 2 groups of heifers for over an hour, wiped out on the 4 wheeler a bit, and used about every bad word possible, yes sometimes they can wear you down, be stupid, and crazy. The next day went smooth as silk, and all was forgotten. I figure it was the blue moon thing, or maybe cattle just have bad days like people, a lil ornery at times.

Cattleluvr, aka Cattlehater, do something else besides focusing on cows and calves for a change, go for a walk, sleep in, have a milk shake, and don't let those little things that cows do to drive you up a wall and make you want to throw a tantrum and tear all the hair out of your head get to you. I'm learning now that if an animal gets too close, twist his ear. After only a couple times he learns that when I reach out for his ear he backs off.

I've probably have had moments like you have, but I shrug it off and keep trying until I win after either giving a sharp slap on the rump, a hard wack to the muzzle or a good, hard tail twisting. Either of those things always makes me feel better, in retaliation to a head butt or kick. ;-)

haha...today didnt go smooth as silk. a little bit better, but not much.its just the little things that would seem like no big deal to most people that really get to me. for example. tonite when i went down to do evening chores....i went into the steer lot and one of them messed with the floater on their tank today. water every where...was full and workin when i left this morning. went down to the feeder lot. they busted the welds on the bottom part of their bale feeder. :mad: i know neither of them are big deals. but that kinda stuff happens everyday. and its so old. maybe you havnt noticed but i have little patients and get frustrated fairly easily.

anyway. sleeping in is impossible, milk shakes are discusting, i will go for a trail ride though. me and my dad are kinda in this together except for my show cattle, and we were plannin on sellin the feeders after the fair. so i guess im gonna have to hang on two more months.

all this built up frustration must has one good effect. i had a perfect game catchin tonite. wwoohhooo *another happy dance*

I'm not sure about the Beefy part - I suspect he's pretty much grown up most of the time, but I would definitely agree on the other part.

I remember being 15 and having over 100 head of cattle to help look after. Which is why when I graduated I ran for a secondary education to get a degree so I could work for a corporation and live cattle-free.
Then I worked with people for awhile and decided I LOVE cattle. :lol:
