I remember when light wts broke 2.00 and everyone was talking about how high that was.
It's looks like we may break 3.00, I've heard 2.90 this week

They broke 3 this week. 2cwt roping calves at the barn.

Calf ropers are not known for our smarts. We've been roping miniature donkeys. They are free, and live on imagination.

That's very interesting, but not really a big reflection on the market IMO, sounds like there buying them because they need them, not because they hope to feed them and make a profit. The highest calves I've heard of yet were some 2wts that brought 2.70cwt.

Agreed.
Things stay this steamy for a bit, may see a legit $3 though.

I don't doubt it one bit, we could very well see it by the middle of march.

We have had 2.50cwt 400lb calves this week, and in relation to that a 3.00cwt 200lb calf wouldn't be out of line. You would be getting 400$ for 200lbs, that would take about 3 months and cost around 125$ to own and feed one, that would be alright and the fact is here there only about 2.70 instead of 3.00cwt, the thing is I don't think 4wts will still be 2.50cwt in may.
