Last weekend the lawn was sprayed with 24D to kill the weeds, the lawn was cut yesterday, and today some goon fed the grass clippings to my heifers! :mad: Would you be concerned at all? I know the minimum wait period is 7 days for grazing. If the treated grass clippings do pose a threat to my heifers is there anything I can do about it?

Best I recall, there's no grazing restrictions on 2,4D other than let it dry. I don't know if grass clippings themselves are the best thing for them, but I don't think the 2,4D should worry you.
My neighbor and good friend is a Vet. Last year ge sprayed my pastures with 24D. I ask him about holding the cattle back and he told me that 24D would not harm the cattle. I have to say that all cattle survived and calved normally.
I think the reason for the grazing restriction is because the plant needs that much time to move the insecticide to the roots and ie, not because it might harm the cows. Mine attack the slightly wilted stuff and act like like freshly sprayed stuff is a dressed salad
