I bet it depreciates faster than he pays it off... at least for the first five years. My buddy just bought a 2025 F350 King Ranch with ALL the bells and whistles $125K![]()
I have a buddy that would do it in a heart beat if he had the money. He would roll up to work cows with the spinners and bumping some extremely profane music... in the right company.Little Ghetto but FUNNY! Who are they marketing to??

Pretty much the same here.... 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2010 trucks. My suv is a 2013. They were all bought used. I just can't wrap my head around buying a depreciating asset for more than my first house cost! There is 4 assorted trucks parked in my driveway right now. A 2002, 2000, 1997, and a 1994. They all run just fine. They are also all paid for. I see no reason to go spend that kind of money just so I can drive something which is new and fancy.
I've never splurged on a King Ranch but been driving Lariat level for along time now. Keep them 4 or 5 yrs and put 80-90k on them and it typically cost me $2,000-2,500 a year to drive one. I don't think that's too bad.I bet it depreciates faster than he pays it off... at least for the first five years.
Nothing like being upside down until the truck is well used up...
I paid around $66K CAD for my 2017 F350 XLT diesel new. It has about 130,000 km’s on it now. I’m guessing it hasn’t depreciated more than 25 percent in the time I’ve owned it. The problem will be replacing it when the time comes. But I also have a 2016 Duramax High Country 3500 with only 70,000 km’s on it (don’t want to be seen driving a GM product) so I might actually not ever have to buy another truck considering my age (56) and the rate I put miles on. I’d just have to come terms with being seen in a Chevy.I've never splurged on a King Ranch but been driving Lariat level for along time now. You don't know what something really cost you until you sell it. I'd bet a $80k 3/4 ton 4 door diesel pickup is one of the cheapest rigs to drive.
The most expensive thing we ever drove was a 2022 GMC Acadia you wanna talk about depreciation. I wanted to throw up when we sold it.
The power of dept. It makes every one feel bullet proof.Do those trucks and wheels make a person more efficient or just poorer? Enquiring minds....
When I was gauging the first truck I had was a nicer black 4dr, 4wd, z71 half ton. I got around 80k on it and was going to trade it in. Every one said just get a plain extend cab 4wd and don't spend all that money on a gauging truck.I've never splurged on a King Ranch but been driving Lariat level for along time now. Exactly. Replacing it is where it will hurt.I paid around $66K CAD for my 2017 F350 XLT diesel new. It has about 130,000 km’s on it now.
