The red gene was very potent this year. 8)

3way that red and white spotted one is out of a half herfxLH. Right now he is the biggest calf on the place but that probably change when he gets close to 250 he'll probably get a little rangy. Last year I bred her to a brangus and she threw a black baldie so go figure.

Manalive he's got more chrome than a 57Ford

yep, can never complain when they're all in good health... nice bunch. Another 2 weeks and we should be getting pretty close for our first... we calve out late since the first week of march is when the sun clears the mountain on our SW, and we go from 2 hours of sun to 6 hours. Makes a big difference for the little guys.

good luck on the rest of the season!

Had my first calf drop this morning. 72lb Red balancer Bull calf.

Will post pictures later this week after his Crest developes!

Well I think he is. But he will get cut at 3 weeks if he doesn't have a massive crest already.

Like the calves, I get tired of black sometimes...nice to see different colored critters for a change. We start Spring calving in a few weeks all due within 2 weeks of each other except for 2. Good thing there's only 15 due.
