How about some predictions from everyone on cattle prices and input costs in 2010.

I see a lot of optimism on prices, but the time frame keeps getting pushed back. I ain't counting on it this year.
Inputs always go up. :help:

Exactly, my prediction is that hedging cattle will be a money maker in 2010. Don't bet your farm on it :lol2: .

Surely more than two have predictions. Herefordsire, you are always good for this one.

It seems to me the a multi-century cycle's peak was set when the markets hit highs in recent years (several hundred year cycle to bottom around 2035, or so , only to temporarily rebound a fraction before moving lower)). If it weren't for cattle being an edible product, I would say the cattle market will never be back to the same level for many many years. Since the population is growing exponentially, I think levels of suply and demand will stay relatively constant, but inch upwards over time. In the short term, I am looking for markets to peak around the 1st of March. If wanting to unload cattle in the short term, try to catch the peak before March as credit loosens up a bit which may mean to unload now as this peak.

Bring them coon hounds and head for Arkansas Kenny Thomas. If nothing else the coons is thick around here, I knocked one off the corner post off the yard last night to our red healer. He likes a good battle.

Rich or poor???? I just want peace of mind!! As soon as they find out your making money, someone will come and take it anyway. Even when you pay off your house. You still pay taxes on it and if you don't they take it. So why, do they say it's your house?????????
