2007 fair steer

This is my steer for the county fair in March 2008. He is 9 months old and weighs 620 pounds. I know he has no hair but he got shaved for summer. it is 110 degrees most days. It is growing quick though.

I think he'll do decent. Looks like he'll be tall. He looks high in the flank, but that might come down. Keep him on feed.

looks good but is high in the flank but it should come down a little with feed and age. what breed is he??

He is a Chi/Angus/Maine. In this heat he does not eat as well as we want but when it cools off he will do better. My sister won grand champion at our fair last year with her steer. He was 1384 pounds and 54 inches at the hip. My steer should not be that tall. Everyone was surprised she won with a steer that big. But he looked really good.
