Hey guys started my 2006 duramax and the a/c would not blow
cold. The clutch turns on and off continually. Any ideas ( other than buy a dodge ).

Second being low on freon. Gauges not needed on some of the new bottles from the auto store

I was going to say check blower motor resistor. Chevy had trouble back in 05 era with those. Just reread original post and with clutch kicking in/out its got to be low on freon.

Start by cleaning the bugs out of the condenser. What ever you do
Don't stuff any stop leak in it untill you diagnos the problem. What do your gauges read? If you own gauges why are you fishing for a "silver bullet?"

no stop leak period,, get it with dye in it, be easier to diagnose... cause it does have a leak.. biggest problem we have, is a leaking shrader valve at the fitting

Because you have guages does not mean others might of had same inheirent problem. Gauges help so do others past problem. I found a line that was leaking .replaced it for $ 123.00. Then had shop refill it. Alacowman I do not know where the valve is you were referring to, but my line was top hose on compressor. Thanks everyone.

I've got a couple of those now that the valve has a slow leak. The only thing saving them is the cap is holding. What's the deal? Them things shouldn't ever leak.
