My f250 last week started running funny after some really cold temps. It won't run full throttle, maybe half the rpms it should have and when it does it doesn't have much speed. After about 35 mph it starts shaking pretty bad. Any ideas on the possible problems? Trying to avoid taking this to the mechanic but it is looking inevitable. Put some deicing stuff in there and ran it for awhile but that didn't seem to help much. My first thought was that I had some water in the fuel due to freezing.

Well, changed fuel filter and air filter and it cranked up and ran good for about 2 minutes and then it started lunging a little bit and eventually choked itself out. Before it went off it wasn't real responsive to me pressing the gas pedal.

I doubt that's your problem. Your fuel is getting too thick. Not from Moisture or water but just from being cold. So it's clogging your filter with waxes.
 
I'd agree with Hook, fuel is gelling. Mine did a bit on lunch; ran like $hyt and even died once. I parked it in the sun so hopefully the tank will heat up a bit and I'll put an additive in it when I get home.
