Deep breath . . . . . 100 yr. old FIL will likely be released from the local hospital in Missouri tomorrow. Last week, the hope was that he would be able to return to his home w/ hospice care. But Lyle has decided, since he is not physically strong following his latest procedures, that his preference is to go into a local nursing home. So that is the plan for tomorrow. It must break his heart (it does ours) that he'll not likely go back home again, but he is plenty sharp enough to figure out what the future holds and how best to deal with it. Please keep Lyle and all of us in your prayers. Hubby and son will travel to spend some time with him soon.

Continued prayers from Hillsdown Ranch !

I hope you FIL has a smooth transition to his new home , and makes some wonderful new friends Kathie. :tiphat:

hopefully he will settle into the nursing home an do fine there.i know how bad you hate that he went there.

My guys are flying to get to Bates County, MO next week, for a week. Dad is in place in the nursing home. Knowing he won't go home again, I don't think he will be there long. And he's ready.

Thank you all for your continued prayers.
