Anybody have any idea what it would cost to get ten head from around Austin, Tx to middle Tn? It is about 800 miles.

Do you have 10 specific cows in mind? If not, you'll find them at the sale barn already. We're seeing longhorns for the first time in forever here.

Yea i found a set of santa cruz that caught my eye. Cheap and something to new to play with. What do you think about those crossed with a char here in TN.

What is a Santa Cruz? I live in Austin. Where are they? Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Google is your friend. How would you know with that sort of composite what it really was without some sort of source varification? My search revealed a King Ranch origination which in that case I will take a couple of culls and save you some weight on the trip home! :)

The origin of Santa Cruz: This initial union produced 1/2 Santa Gertrudis and 1/2 Red Angus males and females, as well as 1/2 Santa Gertrudis and 1/2 Gelbvieh males and females. These half bloods were then crossed back on each other to produce a 1/2 Santa Gertrudis, 1/4 Red Angus and 1/4 Gelbvieh composite animal, now known as the Santa Cruz.

I found the origin info on an ad.
