Around here, you are seeing more and more of the larger/family ranches selling out to the developers because the kids are leaving for college and for jobs that have "retirement, health insurance, vacation, monday-friday/9-5 hours, holidays and nights off"!! Muldoon---excellent question!! thanks for asking for me ;-) i guess i just did not wanna seem TOTALLY ignorant in the ways of cattle!! the hubby figures that since i am a nurse and have had to assist with human births, then i should automatically understand cattle...many nights of night calving...

the hubby does the same, medic...he takes the dead ones away (far, far away) and leaves them for the coyotes/wolves(which the game department says we do NOT have) to gnaw on and hopefully leave the healthy ones alone!!! ps...still no sign of the elusive coyote/wolf from a few weeks back that...

medic.....sorry about your loss....satan's canine's is right....would let you borrow my 17 year old who loves to use coyotes as "target practice", but he has school!!! he's pretty damned good, too...got a few off our place last weekend!
