I wouldn't screw with growing crops if I were you. I would grow all the hay you could. The cost of buying all the equipment for row crops would be too much. Historically, you can buy corn about as cheap as you could grow it. I know, I know, people are making money on corn now.

Trace mineral blocks are 97% salt. So for almost 5 bucks you are feeding salt blocks. For 12 bucks you can feed a 12-12-12 loose mineral. I'd say go with a 3.25 salt block and a bag of REAL mineral.

Here it is 10-13 dollars a bale. That is just the baling expense. Don't know about cutting it and wind rowing it.
