    lick tubs

Picked up a new brand this AM. Rangeland brand. 25% protein and 15 % fat. All natural molasses base. 250# for 71.00. I have tried urea based from Westway feeds befor. Seems if you ever let them run out you can never fill them back up.

    $70 Ivermec and $229 Ivermec

When I lived in Comanche I met a vet from Stephenville that said the same thing. He had done many egg counts and found that most of the generics did not do as good of job as the original. Which ever one you use I would suggest you do some egg counts and also rotate between different wormers.

    foot rot experience

IMO Exenel works better. It usually is a little cheaper to buy also. And even though bacteria cannot read a lable you should. Some antibiotics are labled for foot rot and some are not. You might be just peeing into the wind.

    Fluid pouch on a bull

My vet says the peroxide is to hard on skin. He recomends Nolvasan or hot water with some dish soap. Sounds to me like an abcess by some foreign object. Such as stickers.

    Solid Tech

I can really tell you people checked all of the web site out. There is a device similar to an implant gun for when you run them in the shoot. Thanks for the serious thoughts.

    Shots

I listened to the Lone Star farm report yesterday. Texas may get its free status back in a few months. Still have several herds to check. Our biggest problem, IMO, is NAFTA. Not to get political, but if you allow not checked animals into the country by poor border security you can expect we...

What age to vaccinate calfs ?

I agree. use a vaccine with a fetal protectant. Either way vac mom every year.

    Generic Ivermectin

I am not trying to step on anyones toes here but find this to be FALSE. Do an egg count or talk to a vet that has performed tests on fecal samples. He or she will prove this to be FALSE. If cost is an issue go to one time a year on cows or just give it to the calves. They are the ones that...

    Cattle rubs?

I have used them and think they work great on yearlings and have not had as good a luck with the cows and bulls. Seems they can always find a way to go around. The yearlings like to play with them.

    no more pour on

I was told the same thing. A vet in My area did some of his own triles with pour on Ivomec and its generic counter part. His conclusion was that the generic was worht less. The egg count was the same and sometimes higher after the generic. IMO cutting cost is always good. Minerals, bulls...
