    Folks are thinking about trying this stuff out to try and combat our pink eye problem this year, anyone have any experience with these vaccines? Do they help? Here is an example of one of the vaccines, thanks.

    Droopy ears usually means ear infection, we use NuFlor or Draxxin to cure that but I am not real sure for pregnant cattle.

    Yeah I wouldnt be using a finisher on heifers, just possibly a light COB mix or no grain at all like was mentioned. We grain our show heifers but replacement commercial heifers get haylage and thats it.

    Its better to be cold and dry then cold and wet, they seem to do fine when its cold and dry and they eat like crazy!

    I agree, if they would have charged us full price would have probably put it down, but we work with the vet school here on campus, they cut us really good deals, gets the 3/4yr vets experience....charged us $125 :cboy:

    I was thinking about this the other day, I would almost think that it would be less stress on the bull if you cut him rather then band him that old. My thinking is yes its stressful that first day, and maybe the week afterwards but then its done, rather then that bull having a band pinch him...

    Yea they go fast, the vet said their is a 1-2 day window when you can nail the pneumonia, after that not much can do and if they dont show any signs those days then I dont know.
