Sad news regarding a cherished member

Very sad to read this. Prayers of comfort for his family.

    Burial

I'm living in the house my wife was raised in since birth. When we married in '99 I moved here because my small home was not large enough for the four of us. I'm not sure that I can describe this correctly, but when I was in the living room recliner I would see a shadow that would cross the...

Yeah, that's part of the horse guidance system.

    Burial

I figure there's some sort of an issue with the youngest, which is why I'm not pushing anything. We've made it this far with only one small issue between us so I'm happy about that. Time will work itself out.

    Burial

The folk on my dads side took lots of pictures. I was really young, but I watched two of my great-aunts kiss their daddy on the lips at the end of the service before closing the lid. My wife wanted to be cremated and she got her wish. She also wanted her ashes spread over the few acres we lived...

    Will

I agree. Most times the will is not looked at until after you're disposed of. I'm a big fan of prepaying for those services and making sure the loved ones know how to get to the paperwork.

    Celebrating the 4th in Texas

That's as good a guess as any, Chevy. I've seen them do worse things.

    Pocket Knife Poll

I've stopped carrying good knives because they seem to disappear as quickly as I've bought them. I have a cheepie Browning now that I can't seem to loose.

    Fuel? Who is out?

Ain't no shortage of fuel. It's a shortage of consumer brains, just like last time.

    Don't California my Texas

Texas is in this situation because of past republican governors and their recruiting to bring in big businesses.

Blocking Spam Calls on Cell Phone

I agree with every word. Lots of those people are in the USA but are routing their calls thru different countries which could care less as they know the list don't mean squat. They are also 'spoofing' their numbers and make the digital number that you see on your phone appear like they are...

    Sick world we live in!

Obviously, I haven't figured this new format out quite yet. I want to call BS on this sentence of yours LJ as I came home after the same 8 hours on the job just as my wife did and cooked, cleaned and helped her as much as I could. Yes, that included hand washing the dishes. Her boys saw me...

what did you lose in the Big Freeze?

I've been shredding the last couple of days and we have a bumper crop of fire ants ourselves. I've only seen a handful of June bugs but that could change tomorrow.

what did you lose in the Big Freeze?

The main part of my Crepe Myrtles are toast, but I did notice there are sprouts coming up. The Indian Hawthorne has also gone belly up. Just waiting on the landscaper to show up and tell me what size his check is going to be. Lots of stuff knocked back but it looks like they are coming back.

    Starting a new business

I watch a YouTube channel where the wife inherited a large cattle ranch. Part of the property extends across the road and has another house on it. He fixed the old house up and put in RV infrastructure. The main part of his channel is a working cattle ranch, and he will occasionally mention the...
