Would you use a classified section?

I say yes for cattle & equipment. However, because of my location not sure how often I'd buy or sell. But, would definitely be interested to seeing what's out there. Never know, may be worth the drive to see new country and meet new people.

    Sad morning

So sorry for your loss! Tough to lose an animal especially when it's at your side everyday/night. We had to put down our border collie (rescued) last year. She had cancer and could hardly walk, but still wanted to go everywhere with me. So yes, a sad day indeed, may Claire RIP! 🙏

    Inflation and spending habits

I got a quote for this year's farm fuel and was quoted $3.19 for today. No nobody would guarantee prices for tomorrow as they seem to adjust every day. I paid $2.01 in 2021 and $1.88 in 2020, inflation is going to make it very difficult on everyone this year. I think the Government wants...

    Cold enough

It snowed here for days, then the last 2 days warmed up to 32f and and has rained. Now we have water everywhere. Hoping for dryer weather next week. Of course the cows stated calving, so now the fun really begins.

Sad news regarding a cherished member

I was shocked when I read this and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I never met him, but like many have mentioned i enjoyed his posts and his wisdom. May he RIP!

    Farming is tough

That's certainly a topic most people who just drive by and see framers/ranchers working never think about. Just assume we are all living the glory life making big $$$ not realizing what it takes to put food on the store shelves and their table.

    Will

A trust can be undone too if there is a sole survivor (husband or wife). My father pasted away and everything was in a trust with explicit detail on where things went and to whom. When he passed, the other siblings threw a fit (even though they knew his wishes and had read the trust documents)...

    Why Kellogg's why?

What's a shame! Can't speak openly without being censored, but a company can do what they want and push it on the American people.

    We have come full cirlce...

Must have been wheat and potatoe farmers. I carry insurance on what I have stock piled in case I loose it in a fire, but not on the growing hay. To expensive!

    We have come full cirlce...

Wish those rain storms would come out West. No measure able rain in our area since May and that was less than quarter inch,so basically knocked the dust down. We are burning up out here. One extreme to the other, can never out guess mother nature.

    Hamburger cow

If you can find a slot, just make sure if you gave her any kind of antibiotics that the withdrawal period is passed before taking her in. Otherwise they will kill and see the residue and scrap the meat and all you'll get is a kill bill. Hasn't happened to me but know several others that found...

    Branding today

It seems its just been the last few years that less and less people who rope and are actually skilled at still do it. Most are older and have hung up their spurs. Those that still do are busy as everyone seems to want to brand the same weekends. Not uncommon to have them change out horses and...

    Branding today

I relish branding in the spring and fall, always a good time to get together with old friends and watch the young bucks argue who wrestled the biggest calf. When the dust settles or mud gets washed off we all sit down to a large spread and enjoy each others company......sadly though this may...

DewEze S3 vs. Chainless Bale feeder like Tubeline or Hustler?

I am not aware of any other manufacturers that are chain less, I think either one you go with would work just fine. All depends on the features you want and how much $$ you want to spend. The one feature I like on the Hustler is the trash box for putting string or netwrap in. However, I can...
