    The Murray Grey Bull

He gets a scoop of feed every day or two while he is penned in the corral for about three months while we separate him from the cows. Or anytime we like to keep him occupied for a bit! He is an aggressive eater, and then laid-back and mello. His calves seem to get his temperament as well. We...

    The Murray Grey Bull

Here is a pic of Junior he is 6 years old, he has done very well for us, and I don't really want him to go. But, I have put him up for sale, when we brought him home he weighted in at 1960#. He is been sound every day of his life, docile, even tempered, but we know he is boss in his domain...

    Angus Murray Grey Cross

This has been my learning curve over the last 16 years and I still consider myself a TOTAL amateur especially where cattle are concerned. Purebred herefords, to hereford cows covered by angus bull, both options selling at weaned, and/or to finish then went to stockers selling at various...

What do you think of this bull

I think they both are awesome. But, take this with a grain of salt... as I am NO expert. I only know what I like to see and what I don't. And I like! Michele

    Update of Twinkie

"swell" "pop" As I was talking pics that day, I noticed this "swelling" on all of the girls! She shouldn't calve until April, as the bull was out 7/7/08 (i think that was the date) Could this rotundness be cuz they were started on some 2nd crop alfalfa recently? The cows are not as "fat" as...

Not even close to Knersie - update again

I've been surprised with her coloring on all her calves. She is highly pigmented, so I wondered if this was a contributing factor. Her 1st heifer calf, black, had white on her belly, but no white face, she was bred to a lowline angus. Her 2nd bull calf (pictured) had no white on him, bred MG...

    Framescore Question

Is there a chart? And, is it the same across breeds? For example - a frame score 5 Angus would also be the same height as a frame score 5 Chi? Thanks. Michele

Not even close to Knersie - update again

Nope - not registered... purebred. Bull used is a Murray Grey. Pics of her udder are after her calf this year was weaned. Sorry no pics of a full udder on her, but she milks nice, and her udder is better than acceptable, I think. Michele

Thanks guys... like I said, I love her... but she doesn't have very good legs. So far her hooves have stayed decent, which surprises me... she has raised stellar calves, but they have her legs. Michele

Heres a pic I found of her taken last month. Her calf was pulled in Sep 17, that's when we weaned heifer calves and sold at auction this year. Michele
