I do breed in the window when I cidr. I wonder if there is much difference in the effects of Lut vs estrumate? I do feel I am getting heat just darn hard to detect.

I do use cidrs and timed on occasions. Especially with the ones that calve first. I have been using estrumate shot and checking for heat and that is where I would like to see better heat signs.

I've struggled with one as well. Wanted to breed on natural heat but never saw one. Finally just did 7 day protocal and still no sign of heat. We ai'd anyway. Waiting on blood test now.

If I could get close to 7 out of 7 then I know I would be all in. I am just trying to produce the most profitable calf I can. I have been doing AI and it has worked well, but as FSR said to get those higher dollar calves it takes cows with not only the right phenotype but the right set of papers.

Anyone around middle TN have embryos implanted by a certified embryologist mind telling me the cost? I am looking at toying around with it.
