You should be proud. I've ran off 4 farmhands this past year that were between the ages of 30 to 50 that just wanted a place to stay. No drive what so ever. It's pretty sad when you think about a 50 year old man that only owns a mattress and a small TV.

The wind in our area has been crazy for the past week. Yesterday we had gust up to 40 mph. I had a door get knocked off on one of my well sheds. My cows started running around the pasture like something was after them. One heifer jumped through the barbwire fence. Luckily, she wasn't hurt...

We got snow in Louisiana today. This only happens about every 10 or 15 years. The cows didn't know what to do, but the kids did!

I talked with a few people with fox pens. They will give $65 for an unharmed coyote. They suggested using snares or rubber coated steel traps. The only thing that worries me is getting them out of the traps without losing a hand or other important body part......

What kind of methods do some of you use to get rid of coyotes? One of my cows had a calf last week, and she had a coyote about 20 feet from her watching all the action. It was about 2 in the afternoon. I ran it off, but I have been seeing more and more of them lately.
