If I was gonna produce F1s tigers I'd go with a good set of brahman cows and breed them to Herf bull. They'll take the heavier calf better than a herf cow would. also, you could change it up and do F1 brangus next year. just my 2 cents.

Thanks. this cow is a little brickhouse (LHX), no hatchet butt. I'll try to get pics of her this weekend. the feat will be figuring out how to post them on here. will keep breeding her to angus and retaining these salt and pepper heifers- as long as they work like momma.

Got one LH type cow (mostly white w/lots of tiny red spots), bred to reg BA, first calf, heifer, came out white/black spotted- basically same pattern as momma, only spots are black. while I think the color is rather neat, I wouldn't be thinkin it was so neat if it were a bull calf and cost me...

There is plenty of gender selected beef semen out there, Genex, Select Sires, etc. I think Genex is the most economical though.

keep me in mind if he turns out to be nice, I wouldn't mind having a senepol bull.

Balancer isn't a bad pick but look for some 50/50 Simangus Bulls... reason being, you'll get a bit of h.vigor on both crosses and still be maternal all the way.

Disclaimer: Everyone knows producing 3/4 inbred daughters is not ideal, but they're just a product of convenience in a small "backyard" herd. That being said, do you guys think that it would be ok to retain these 3/4 inbred heifers? ...as long as they're not bred back again to the same sire...
