    fence line herbicide

We just sprayed 30ac of overgrown fields. We used 1.25pt of Remedy Ultra and 2pts of Grazon Next HL per ac. Although it's not cheap we have had very good luck with it in heavy brush and weeds. With remedy and Grazon you get a blend of several chemicals. Crossbow is remedy and 2-4 d Grazon is...

what to spray for wild blackberries?

what to spray for wild blackberries?

They are very high but the rate of product used per acre is low. If I mix chaparral according to the label and add 1 pint per acre of remedy ultru I'm around the same price per acre as surmount. Mixing chaparral and remedy should take care of anything you spray. I spot sprayed some...

what to spray for wild blackberries?

I used to use crossbow a lot but now my new friend is Chaparral. :cboy: Chaparral and Surmount both have a residual. Which make them both a good choice. If you have a lot of woody species just add a little Remedy Ultra.

    Wheat hay

Here in SE Missouri the wheat is getting over mature. We just wrapped some wheat. We wrapped it because of the waste if we dry baled it. I would assume the digestability would be a lot better as well. Don't get me wrong it does add up as another expense to wrap it. :bang:

    Ancient Tobacco Barn

That's what I was thinking. It don't look like the same condition from the outside. You should try and get someone to reclaim some of the wood. Hate to see all the oldtimers hard work go to waist.

    AGROTAIN Stabilizer

Using it on grass and applying it at not the best time. I think it pays just wanting to see what others thought.

    AGROTAIN Stabilizer

I can see in your case it don't pay. You are using it when the crop is actively growing and your not applying it all at once. Kinda apples and oranges on how you are using your N(dry vs. anhydrous). There are a lot of big operation running over 10,000ac using it on every acre. They also apply it...

    AGROTAIN Stabilizer

I think the place we get it from has it pre applied. Then we get a 50/50 mix. Jed do use N-Serve on your ammonia anhydrous?

    AGROTAIN Stabilizer

That's kinda what I was thinking. Is it just a blend or does all your urea have it on it? What we used this year was a blend. It was for a push early and one a bit later.

Just wanted to see if anyone uses it on pasture? Thought good or bad?

    chemical fescue seedhead suppression

Chaparral is labeled for fescue seed head suppression. The Dow website has some information about it.We have never tried it or know anybody that has locally. We are planning on using it on our electric fence rows this year. Intensive grazing works very well for seed head suppression and only...

Need advice on corn stalks, wheat ground, etc

I think it can work but it's going to be a tough sell to a landowner. In our area with the weather we have, compaction would be an issue. how much I don't know yet, give me a few more years of test. Timing of corn or bean harvest can be a big factor as well. Sowing in late August early...

Need advice on corn stalks, wheat ground, etc

TT just making sure we are on the same page. So you're wanting to graze the stalks and a cover crop? The field will go back to corn or beans in the spring?

    Using Grazon Next

Grazon next hl can be mixed in the fertilizer and applied that way. I would think thats to early for a foliar application but it does have a residual.
