need the pros and cons to a strictly AI herd, we currently have 2 bulls, but we are a small operation of registered herefords. Space and handleablity? is a definite consideration for keeping the bulls. I'm on the fence at this time not knowing for sure what would be best to do. Any helpful...

a calf be for you to tell how good they will/might look later on? I know that they can change, but when do you think that you get the best idea of how they are going to look later?

herefords and yes hair is in good condition, we just got back from california where we placed very well. so they are being worked.

we have used some out of texas that were actually working for someone else. need to find someone that we could hire for all shows, fully expecting to pay their expenses in and out. we don't have any around here except kids and they aren't available like needed.

anybody know how to go about finding a fitter for the shows like denver, austin etc. too old to learn how to do our own on a big show level.

thanks for the replies, I'm in the process of training another little bull and I sure don't want him out of control. So I'll be trying everything i can.

took this little heifer to her first show, scared silly, handled great at home practically bolted off the trailer. tips needed on working with that before the next show. already handling her evreyday, tying, walking etc. just need to know how to calm them down amongst excitement.

Chris H you said you don't like bulls to be too friendly, do you mind if I ask why? I have one that's pretty friendly, just wondering if there's a particular reason I don't want him to be.
