Guy wants to sell a Pearson original manual chute. It’s in almost new condition but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Pearson chutes. Thanks

    Question about radial tractor tires?

Radial if you can afford it, better ride and ground contact. And don’t put too much air in them , my lighter tractors like Kubota unless I’m carrying a heavy load I run 5-7 psi in them.

Where to find old equipment parts

Not sure what you mean about splined. It’s a single groove pulley with 6 bolts that attaches it to the face of the water pump. The fan and the pulley are bolted on with the same 6 bolts.

Where to find old equipment parts

I can find things like water pump, wear parts, sprockets and seats even engine overhaul kits but the things like pulleys, filter mounts or even the blade tilt lever is hard to find. A good heavy equipment salvage yard would be a great place to look, anyone know of a good one?

Where to find old equipment parts

I recently picked up an IH/Dresser TD8C crawler and now I need some parts but don’t know where to find them, any suggestions. I stopped by the local Case/IH construction equipment store and they said nope maybe try the Case/IH ag guys, nothing there either. What I need right now is the pulley...

    Tire drag

I use rear tractor tires most are not steel belted. Just take a chainsaw and cut a hole in it and pull till your heart is content. I took an old 3 point hutch 6 row tool bar and welded eyes on it and chained 4 tires to it and it works fine

    Rhino vs. Bushog brand

I’ve had bushog land pride and rhino through the years and it boils down to what model or how heavy duty it is, how you treat it and the best deal you can find. Apples to apples there all about the same. I will say that I like my 20’ land pride the best, after I added zerks to some pivot points...

    Gps recommendations

I’m looking for a simple and relatively cheap unit to use on smaller equipment for spraying or applying fertilizer. I have dedicated units on the large stuff. I don’t need anything fancy just something to keep a somewhat new operator going in the right direction, if you know what I mean. Thanks

    Cat 305.5 turntable backlash

Is there an adjustment on the 305 machine that will remove some of the backlash between the ring and pinion gears. With the bucket extended about half the way out you can swing the house by hand and the bucket moves about 8-10” freely. Seems a little much but I can’t find any specs on what is...

    Hoe attachment question

I bought a cat 305.5 hoe and want to get a clean out bucket for it. My question is will other manufacturers buckets fit this machine. Is there some type of standard they follow like classes of hitches on tractors.

    hydraulic lines

Reviving this old thread because today I had a 6’ hose made and it was $80. Makes the previous listed prices sound like my granddad’s nickel a gallon gas way back when.

    Hydraulic Chute

What I use most on the chute besides the obvious is the head turner and on ours you can use the tail gate to catch the next cow in line that lets us work 2 at a time depending on what we’re doing. One thing I really like is the hydraulic alley, we fill it up with 6 or so squeeze all of them at...

    KUHN DISC MOWER PROTECT-A-DRIVE

Chewed through a million ant hills both soft as mud and hard as rocks, cut t post, hit a telephone pole that the stupid lineman cut off about 3 inches above the ground instead of pulling it up. That last one tripped the breakaway and also broke the bottom yoke. All that and lots of other things...

Filling tractor tires with water and antifreeze

They sell adapters that screws onto your water hose and screws onto your valve stem. Very simple our coop has them as well as any tire store that deals with ag tires. I’ve used antifreeze but I like best is alcohol. You can look up the ratio for whatever temperature you need on line. Oh yea...

    Head holder worth the money??

Main gate is hydraulic with left and right head turner. I get spoiled easily then have to go back to manual chutes and nose pliers at remote pastures. The older you get the easier you want to do things.

    Lincoln Ranger best?

If guys weld round stuff they want nothing but red. If it’s structural steel they want blue. Both are good for comparable units just pick the one that fits your needs, it’s a Ford vs Chevy thing. If you are going to do heavy high amp welding or gouging get a heavier machine. If you plan to use...

    New Holland 472 Haybine

Don’t know about this particular one but we’ve rebuilt many IH, Gleaner and a few other models combine boxes through the years. Heck just last week we threw about a dozen old scrapped boxes away. It’s not that hard, just make sure you get the shimming correct. We would get the bearings locally...
