Angus Hereford cross cow to simangus bull

It is used quite a bit around my area. The calves seem to grow like weeds and are muscley. Yet if you're gonna keep them as replacement heifers I couldn't tell you what kind of cows they would make. Farms around here just feed the calves out.

    Skunk tale calves

Not around here they're not. Sometimes go 10-20 cents less per pound depending on weight of course. Neighbor had skunk tail calves few years ago and sold some steers at 700 pounds, the solid black sold for 15 cents more than the skunks. But anyway we will see what happens with these calves...

What is a red charolais? My dad seems to think its a cross between red angus and charolais to make them red. Is this true?

    Skunk tale calves

There nice calves just not looking forward to them being docked in prices when we sell them at the sale barn. They sort them off red or black cattle, they even sell black baldies and red baldies(what we call red necks around here) but not skunk tails.

    Skunk tale calves

I have been getting skunk tale calves out of my black and red cows bred to a Charolais/Red Angus cross bull. I do not get why this is happening. 20 cows are black and 27 are red. The guy we bought the bull said the reason is because the cows have Simmental in them. Is this true? We have had...

    Cross Breeding

If I breed an angus cow to a hereford bull, would it be the same if I breed a hereford cow to a angus bull? I just used those two breeds as an example, would it be the same as doing it with any two breeds? Thanks.

    Yearling bull pics

They look healthy and all but just think they are kinda homely looking. I've seen worse and better. Think they woulda made better steers. Just my opinion.
