I have used BHR Three Sixes (full fleck full blood from Buzzard Hollow Ranch, Granbury TX) successfully in my breeding program. Here's a pic of one of the results:

We have a small herd of 35 simmentals and sim-angus cattle ... very easy handling, great disposition, we work them with just myself and my wife. Highly recommend them for disposition. As for the calving problems, we've had none ... unassisted .... I know folks had problems in times past, but...

About 20 more .... all SimAngus or Simmental. Most from BHR genetics ... have 5 expected from CNS Dream On.

Alacowman, Agree with your comment on Buzzard Hollow ... we've gotten most of our genetics from them.

Cowcop, Haven't decided yet ... got several more to be born over the next few weeks. We're going to try to get noticed in 2008 (you saw my other post) and do a field day in April. We'll sell some of the best at good values in order to get our market started.

Thanks for the good ideas ... extremely helpful. Cowcop .... here's a couple of pics I posted in the past. The calf was born a couple weeks ago (3/4 Sim/Red Angus) ... the heifer is half blood, bred and due early 2008.

We've been building our herd for 3 years now (Simm and Sim-Angus cattle), and plan to do a field day open house to tell folks in our area we are here (and want to sell some cattle). If any of you have done this with success or lessons learned, I'm all ears. Appreciate any thoughts.
