And how many breeds of cattle have you seen? Holstien and beefmaster? All these people on here who are warning you have A LOT of experience and I wouldnt question them. If you wanna pet, get a fish, they eat a lot less..... ha

NEVER heard of anything jersey not having enough milk. My jersey x angus do not look loke that one. My first calf heifers will raise 2 calves at a time. This is a bad representation of the cross. Ohhh, and by the look of her tits, Id say she was not first calf heifers...

Im with hillsdown here. You probably got breother and sister (twins). Meaning she in a freemartin.... Anyways, you should probably keep them out of the wind as well. And make sure you dont overfeed them! Good luck and keep us posted...

WOW, are you sure its a heifer? People usually hold on to those pretty closley! Make sure the calf is peeing and not scouring....

HMMMMMMM.........some good advice and some really crappy advice being given here. Im in the opposite position of you. I am in college so my dad charges me to take care of my cattle why im gone. The percentage idea is not the best because you cant contol the performance of HIS cattle all you do...

Bought a 4 year old a week before christmas that vet checked in at 4 months bred. She had a really nice heifer the day after christmas....he was only 5 months off! I would say this heifer is closer than the vet thinks! Good looking heifer too..... good luck with her and let us know what happens!
