    What to plan for fall/winter grazing in N. Texas?

    I think is a good idea on different grasses in each pasture. I was thinking planting Rye and maybe some winter wheat on 2 acres.What would happen if you were to plant all the seeds mixed together would that be wise? I'm here in Houston.

    Oh McKenney farms. That is one of the popular ranches for red Brahmans. I was told I could get Gir cattle there so I called to inquire on prices and was told it prices start at 3000. I guess I get what I pay for. Quality does cost so I've told.

    Alicia grass

    I meant cooperative extension office. In pastures I have mostly bahia this year I put out some hulled bermuda seeds to see what it would do and it grew rather well, but since bahia is mostly there I didn't want to burn it out but add to it.

    I'm still learning about the different bloodlines in the Longhorn breed.I really like them. I plan on selling the calves as replacement animals.My breed of choice would be Brahmans just couldn't find any that I can afford. Find some Gir heifers that I may get next month.
