    affirmative action

I feel the same about afirmative action. The same year my eldest son graduated from highschool a minority student was written up in the newspaper as having achieved the same exact SAT score as my son, was not an Eagle Scout as my son was. Did not mention him going all the way to state for UIL...

    Another silly question

An embryo is a fertilized egg ready to implant into a recipient cow. A straw contains semen which can be used to impregnate a cycling cow.

    Bull Question

Do you already have a buyer in mind? Are you selling them as heavy breds through a sale barn. Going to advertise and sell them that way? Sale barn, doesn't matter what they are bred back to. If you sell them off the farm Char, Angus, Hereford would all be snapped up in my opinion.

medium rare but hold the ear please

That isn't even what I am saying. I am talking about the 600 lb weaned calf. I am saying they are more expensive to raise out of pure English cattle than out of Brahman influenced cattle. Here is a study by Texas A&M University addressing many aspects of cattle raising, from forage efficiency...

    Disposition Sign

Have heard that mentioned many times. Probably true about Bos Tarus cattle. Don't think it applies to Bos Indicus. Look where the swirl is on this cow. Swirl way high, but she is super gentle.

    Lassie lives

SYDNEY, Australia - In a case of life imitating fiction, a 13-month-old cattle dog named "Lassie" helped to rescue its injured master after he fell from a horse in eastern Australia, a media report said Tuesday. George Crowther, a 90-year-old farmer from Queensland state, broke his pelvis...

medium rare but hold the ear please

Yeah, English cattle make better meat and bring better prices at say 600 lbs. But it cost more to bring an English blooded calf to that weight than in does to bring a calf to that weight with some ear.
