if you paint the ends of your logs or paint the ends of boards after their sawed,it will help prevent ends from dry'n too fast and spliting.hope this helps.

i do still have dead calf. im hesitant to try this,i dont really want a bottle calf (lol) been there done that.lots of trouble.i could if i had too. just hate to carry dry cow for a year.

thanks for the replys.16' sounded good to me to stack 3 bales high,wasnt sure. im in alabama,but we will build it. i have several poles of various diameters.might could get more closer to same size and use them round instead of sawing them.

if you were building a 40' x 60' shed with 20' side sheds to store round bales. how tall would you build it? do you think 6"x6" post would be ok or would you use 8"x8". i will cut the post from telephone poles with band sawmill. thanks for your help.

i bought a thin 5 yr old brangus cow thru sale wed.brought her home put in pasture alone with hay and water.gave 2 gallons of feed twice a day. now she has scours,i suspect from too much feed too fast. now what should i do to stop it. thanks.
