Why not remove the hard drive and keep it for your own use as a back up replacement, or for extra storage on a new computer.
Then you can do what ever you want with the old computer with out a hard drive in it.
I would get a submersible pump, there would be no need to have a tank or pressure switch for this application.
You can buy a submersible for about $200-$300, 100 foot of poly pipe, and wire and run it with the generator.

I would try to find a good used one, just a basic computer with windows XP on it. That is all one would need for what it will be used for.
