    Bahia grass

Ya know, I'm gonna let the more learned folks answer this one. But as for me, I'm trying to kill off the Bahia, Johnson grass and thistles in my fields, replacing with coastal, bermuda and the new TIFF grasses.

    Tree stumps........booooom

You got that right! I was amazed many times over. It was like the machine was a robot with an erector set. Grab it, cut it, lift it, put it here put it there. Didn't matter pine or hardwood, 75 ft tall or 100 ft tall, it just did it like the trees were toys.

    Tree stumps........booooom

Thank y'all for all the ideas. Talked to a guy (retired) with a machine (big old Case dozer) that has a v-shaped, best description spike, on the front. He pushes this in under the stumps and lifts them out. After looking at my disc, he suggested just doing the big stumps and let the disc chew...

    What? Marbling Doesn't Influence Flavor?

You are correct. But without adequate marbling, aging would do nothing but make tougher, dry meat. Try beef jerky. It's the marbling that produces the 'lube and flavor facter" so to speak. Dry is dry........... but juicy is mmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Not sure I fully understand cattle prices, a little help

It isn't your bad, it's their's, the definition of "morbidity" is, in the cattle business, "the percentage of dead animals per population resulting from any specific disease or cause". Sickness is treatable, death is finite. It burns me when folks try to make up new definitions for established...

Sorry, don't count as redneck. It's a part of a Texas Rancher's job description. :cboy:

    Collecting money owed

I'm not an attorney, so my advice comes from experience and a grain of salt. You can't put the sign on his property, ad on a road sign, or notice in the paper. The best you can do is go through small claims or work through an attorney------which you obviously already have been. The problem is...

    Chelsea's date

People are people..........and judgements are what they are. I don't care what she looks like and I'm sure she doesn't care what I think. As long as she is happy with herself, then I'm happy for her. I am as guilty as you for our thoughts and shortcomings. I shall pray for both of us.

    Chelsea's date

...$50,000 in "upgrades". She can pay like all the other "rich folks" for what she wants. Bless her for having the money to do it...........the rest of us ugly b******* will just get by. But genetics are genetics...........whether it's cows or people...........I refer you to the ugly calf thread.

Anybody got info on GPS tracking Devices?

You know, with folks of age, it ain't a bad thing to have on all equipment. Years ago, when he was still alive, my pop took the tractor and fence repair wagon out for a day's work. Around mid-afternoon, his wife was missing him at the dinner table but had no way of knowing where he was...

    Tree stumps........booooom

...it for a slow burn. Stump grinding of thousands of stumps is out of the question, as is the timber company's recommendation of putting a shovel full of fire ants on each stump and letting them eat them out (this takes a year and I ain't about to feed those b*******). Any suggestions???????????

    Independant Truckers

Where do you live........I need your brother @ $50 a load. I need 185 yards of stone for my road. I found the stone at $25 a yard, ($4,625 total) but the lowest bid by any trucker here is $135 a load, this for a 12-yard dump. That's roughly 16 loads, $2160 just to haul from a pit 15 miles...

    texas rabbit

The size and way he acted, I'd say a "rat snake". He didn't act like a rattler, and his head did not appear big enough nor his body thick enough to be a moccasin although the way he went for the tree and the surrounding vegatation may suggest that he was. I however am inclined to stay with my...

    Here's your sign

True story from this past weekend a friend passed on to me........... As he tells the story: "I just ran a couple of errands on the bike. I walk into the store while removing my helmet. When I get to the counter with my one item, I set the item down and then set the helmet down so I can reach...
