Best source for spare parts, John Deere 2010

This one's a project. Who would most likely have spare parts for a JD of this age?

    JD 4640 and 4630 tractors

On relative costs, keep in mind that I'm in Venezuela so the value of one series versus the other may not mirror the market in the States. As plow tractors, how would the 4450, 4455, and 4560 stack up? I'll be looking at all 3 this weekend.

    JD 4640 and 4630 tractors

Thanks guys. Anyone have any experience with the JD 4560 or the JD 4455? Again, I'm looking for a plow tractor.

    JD 4640 and 4630 tractors

And just for the record, I'll also be looking at a JD 4560 and a JD 4455 as well.

    JD 4640 and 4630 tractors

Interested in taking a look at these two. Will be used mainly for plowing. Told by the owner that both are 4 x 2. I have no idea of the overall quality of the individual tractors, though the owner, of course, says they're in great shape. :cboy: Any of you guys own one of these beasts? What...

    Heston 1070 baler

Then it must be a mower-conditioner because that's definitely the number. The equipment is parked with other stuff and I couldn't get a very good view. I was sure though of the "Heston" and the number 1070. Thanks for the effort Cabo! :tiphat:

    Heston 1070 baler

I've been waiting for just such an opportunity......and just gotta tell ya the story. Last year I baled his place, 50/50. As we'd bale I'd either sell right out of the field or stack the bales on pallets and cover them with a tarp until the clients could arrive for pickup (as per our previous...

    Heston 1070 baler

How old is such an animal likely to be? I saw one this morning sitting in front of the place of a fellow I custom baled for last season. He's one of those guys who is never happy with a job. I felt I busted my tail extra hard just to please him but I guess he's now figuring he can do the work...

Yanmar tractors, anyone ever own one?

Thanks F350! BTW, what part of SW Louisiana do you call home? I used to shake 'em down in that neck of the woods. :D

Yanmar tractors, anyone ever own one?

The guy who showed me the Yanmar tractor once owned a JD place but sold it a number of years ago. He still deals in a lot of JD parts and that's why I was visiting him. My JD tractor is in the hospital right now because the PTO has no power. Working 99% of the time with the PTO does have its...

Yanmar tractors, anyone ever own one?

Sorry, but I don't call diesel fuel at $0.03/gallon "dirt cheap". I call it free. :hide: :lol2:

Yanmar tractors, anyone ever own one?

I looked at this one tonight. 4 cylinder, 4 X 4, light weight with 75 horses. It's tough to find a decent tractor here these days. The gubmint wants everyone to buy a Veniran....yeah, that's a tractor built in Venezuela at an Iranian-run plant. :devil2:

Yanmar tractors, anyone ever own one?

Are they even sold in the States?

    equipment depreciation?

Thanks for another example of why the US needs a flat tax rate. :cowboy:

Okay trailer experts, help me out!!!

Indeed. I learned early-on NOT to say "for export" at a US dealership. Apparently they're under some fairly tight rules by the manufacturers as it applies to selling vehicles for export and, if caught, catch hell for it. As for your comments about the junk going first for export, you're...

Okay trailer experts, help me out!!!

Sure, for the most part without problem. Having said that, in 2010 I bought a new Toyota Tundra Platinum at a dealership in Louisiana for import here and shortly before shipping it Chavez issued some decree that stopped the import of 8 cyclinder "luxury trucks". I tried the usual method...

Okay trailer experts, help me out!!!

Thanks for that linky AC. NOW I know what a dovetail looks like....and it makes sense. :D As for the "pickup" comment, fear not. I'm the sort of guy who calculates exactly what he needs to get the job done, then buys double those specs. It always seems that no matter what one plans for, one...

Okay trailer experts, help me out!!!

The roads here are almost as bad as those in Louisiana. :D Okay, I'll admit it here and now. I'm ignorant on all things trailer-related. What the heck is a hydro dovetail? Yeah, I've reached the conclusion that a diesel would be the best route to go. Back in another lifetime I drove a...

Okay trailer experts, help me out!!!

I've got a Ford 350 Triton (gasoline engine) right now but I'm not convinced it'll be up to the task. I'd much rather have a diesel.
