OK, thanks. Will check into that. Would rather not dye them if we don't have to.

    Texas Shows?

We've had a hard time locating open shows around our area, or within a 2 hr. driving distance. Anyone know of open heifer shows coming up that aren't too far away from the Weatherford TX area? We're not into the points thing. We show Reg. Angus & Beefmaster Cross.

Hey, thanks AAOK! Great advice! Now we're getting somewhere! :D Do you mix a quart of the Young Color from only 1 bottle? I think we've been doin' this thing ALL wrong!

    Dyeing Sensitive Skinned Cattle

I've read about the deficiency theory, too. Doesn't apply to our cattle though, as they are well-fed & given plenty of supplement. Ours are reg. black angus, & they turn red from being bleached by the sun. We don't stall our show calves to keep them black, which is one alternative.

    Dyeing Sensitive Skinned Cattle

Thanks. Is semi-permanent dye alot better than permanent? Think we used permanent dye, so it was probably our fault.... Also, have you ever used the temporary rinses? Bet they don't stand up to the washings we need to do on her....

    Dyeing Sensitive Skinned Cattle

Does anybody have an alternative to boxed hair dye for black angus hair dyeing? We have one that is sensitive & needs major dyeing to cover the red. Help!
