I have heard nothing but good things about DVF. Apparently, they have decided to sale every female they have over 3 years old between this sale and the fall sale... some pretty big time donors and herd builders for sale, at least in my opinion.

I actually won't be attending the sale..I am going to pick up some Hereford heifers I have bought instead!! :D :D :D I just saw the sale book on AAA and was very impressed. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out!

I use the TN Co-op Minerals because that is really the only option within a 45 minute drive of my house.. I could get other options, like VitaFerm or other Custom blends made, but the time/hassle to get them to me is not worth the difference....

It definitely acts as a limiter to mineral consumption, but my reservation is will the cows continue to get sufficient minerals if loose salt is available? I am not sure I have enough confidence in the old addage that "they know what they need and they'll eat the minerals they are supposed to."
